ARCADE FIRE!!

Johanna and I have not been out like this in a while, so I could have been seeing aerosmith and still have been happy. We did not see Aerosmith, we saw Arcade Fire instead thank god. It is really awesome seeing a band for the first time. What are they going to play, how will the show be, what kind of people are going to be there. These are all questions I ask myself before seeing any concert. Well the show was amazing and did not disappoint. Over the past few years I usually see bands that I have seen before like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or I see someone who is larger than life like David Bowie. This was different. Arcade Fire is a fairly new band and it was interesting not having that feeling of waiting my whole life to see a band. When I saw NIN, it was serial because I have been listening to them forever and then all the sudden Trent Reznor is standing in front me screaming. Not the case with Arcade Fire, which allowed me to really soak it in. The crowd was one of the most laid back crowds ever. The whole show was laid back. I had forgotten that Win Butler grew up in the woodlands which is where we saw them. He started the show by saying, "its good to be home" then they went into "Ready to Start." He would start a song and say "this song is about grown up...well rowing up here" So that made the show a little extra special I think. As they played on I realized that I think I ike every single song of theirs. Closer to the end of the night Win Butler said "hey I used to be a ticket tearer here whe I was a teenager, and at this point of the night we usually stopped checking tickets and everyone rushed the stage...2.3.4." then they went straight into "Rebellion Lies" So everyone rushed the stage and we found ourselves about 20 feet from the stage. It was exciting to say the least but most of all it was a feeling that I had not had in a long time. Seeing a band for the first time and rushing the stage, it was very nice.

I have not seen any of the Fast and Furious movies

except the first one, which I hated - Max Pule

Here we are face to face, a couple of silver spoons. So I guess that show is about rich people who were born with a silver spoon in their mouths? Oh how I relate to that!!!

It has been a while since my last post so lets get right in with the highlights:

The new year has brought with it a new life that involves watching after and taking full time care of two kids.  Having the two has proven to be a challenge. Mostly because my son Jack is a lunatic and I am pretty sure he is out to "get" me. No, this is not true, but he is insane just as every two year old is. He likes to yell and scream and run around. Having two kids has made me even more impressed with single parents. I salute you!! I regress though, I love it.

Mary- So Mary is the size of a small adult. She can literally wear jacks diapers. I do not know if that is an insult to Mary or Jack for being such a little guy. Anyways, she has been great and developing more every day. Now that Johanna is back at work we are having my sister in law, Falon, watch her while we are at work. That is working out nicely I must say. Mary rolled over the other day.

Jack- Jack had a rough time there with ear infections, but now, due to modern science, he is better. He has little plastic tubes in his ears that allow fluid to drain from them. He is talking a lot, and being a crazy man. I think he plotting to kill all of us soon. He really is the cutest thing ever.

KCTrip- We took a trip a trip to Kansas City to see my relatives. It was awesome, easily the best rip to KC yet. It is good getting up there. I love the city. It is like the city that time forgot. Take that for what you will. All in all we had fun. You can live the trip with us in my upcoming multiple chapter series titled: KCTrip.

So now summer is here, and we keep on keepin on as they say. I will write more and post more videos soon. Thanks, Bye.
